If you are in the Philadelphia area on Thursday, January 10th, please stop by "New Now II" at the InLiquid Gallery in the Crane Arts Building in Fishtown. The opening runs 6-9pm and is free to the public. Over 30 artists will be included in this group show. Among the artists, Scott Troxel will have two pieces, one sculpture and one wall sculpture in the show.

I'm such a sucker for art shows because it shows how the community comes together and build a great community for young upcoming artists. As a community, it is important to support local artists because it's a perfect way to experience something new. When you support the local artist community, you are supporting their relationship between culture and community. Supporting art at the elemental level often leads to much more ambitious projects later down the line, which can improve the culture and quality of life in that area.
